About Me

My name is Yasemin Sayibas Akyuz. I am an interactive designer. I have designed many websites, logos, 2d and 3d flash animations, videos, since 1999. When you design for web, anything you do just disappears eventually.. And you can not touch the websites or animations and feel every pixel. This is what I have always wanted to do as a designer: creating and animating in the real world. Here is how my stop motion advanture started: I made a toy for my little baby girl out of the used clothes. It was for my daughter but I could not give her because I liked the toy a lot. -she was 1,5 years old So, I decided to design a set of toys. 8 dolls same style, different designs. Then I saw that designing toys is whole another job and I really do not want to spend time on it. So, instead of making toys, I decided to make a movie using the toys I designed. After spending a lot of time surfing on the net, I realised what stop motion is. It is an art form allows me to use both my crafting, animation and graphic design skills.
